Casa de la Memoria is a Flamenco Cultural Center located in a historic building in the center of the city of Seville. The Center is located inside a traditional Sevillian house and courtyard that were the old stables of the neighboring Palace of the Countess of Lebrija, a building whose origins date back to the sixteenth century. The flamenco show "Tarde de Flamenco" takes place in an intimate theater overlooking the central courtyard.
The show "Tarde de Flamenco" at Casa de la Memoria lasts approximately one hour and includes a cast of four artists: a bailaora, a bailaor, a cantaor and a guitarist. In the scenes of Casa de la Memoria there have been several artists of the national level: Pastora Galván (National Flamenco Dance Award), as well as Asunción Pérez "Choni", Maribel Ramos and Leonor Leal, all the winners of the prizes of the different contests of flamenco dance. Singer Jeromo Segura, was awarded the Special Prize as the best young singer in the prestigious "Festival de las Minas".
As the Flamenco Cultural Center, the Casa de la Memoria also organizes other activities, including flamenco exhibitions that are part of the museum in the same building. In addition, in the store of the House of Memory the visitor can find gift objects related to the world of flamenco.
